Proposal for Unit 3 exhibition and Research Festival

For Unit 3 I am going to make a piece of painting (60x45cm) with acrylic paints for the exhibition. And painting will show the detail of my study process on plants and allergies. I want to express how allergies affect people’s feelings mentally. This will be developed from my current working progress and shows what I have found during unit 2, and also responds to the theme of plants energy that I was looking at in unit 1.
For the Research Festival in October, I am thinking of hold a workshop to communicate my study of this year with the audience. I always want to deliver the idea of how unique the plants’ characteristics are to more people. My initial idea is to consider about the use of real fragrance and combine with research on similarities between plants and human. Or reappear the experiment recorded in the book of “What a Plant Knows” by Daniel Chamovitz which Intuitively display the perception ability of plants. This book helps me a lot during unit 2 research and support my thoughts with scientific evidence. Therefore the “power” of plants is longer only my own feelings but something can be suggested and delivered to more people. I still need to do more experiment and time to make sure what exactly I am going to do for the Research Festival. I am just briefly describing about the general direction that I am working on, specific plans will be gradually improved in the future.
